When there is a tragedy… who is there for the victim? Who is there for them in this time of confusion, crisis and need? People like Monika Huminuk, the Executive Director of Rainy River District Victim Services Program are there. Tim Miles works at Rainy River Community College. He used to play in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns… He coached the Rainy River Voyageurs football team to their best record in history this past fall… He is the recruiter for RRCC… He is the new Woman’s Basketball coach for the Voyageurs… He is the Minority Services Director for the college… He is a family man… AND he still had time to sit down with Gene in the Virtual Living Room for a chat, depth, laughter and a fun time on the air.

2/12/08: Eric Marx: (The new Pastor in town)

Eric Marx is the new Pastor of the International Falls, MN Evangelical Covenant Church. He and his family have been in town for 6 months leading the largest evangelical church in the area, so Gene thought is was about time to sit down with this Pastor for a chat. A "back to the roots" type of chat in the Virtual Living Room, and an opportunity to get to know this gentle and humble man of God just a bit better.

A look at God the way we had always hoped He would be, and a way to interact with Him on such a safe and personal level. All of this and so much more are brought out in the book "The Shack". Author William P. Young joins Gene to discuss this book that no one wanted to publish, and it's tremendous success.

That kind of interaction is a form of counseling… and as such is one of the services that is available at Door of Hope Counseling in Ft. Francis, Ontario. Ron & Ken join Gene in the Virtual Living Room to chat about warning signs, misconceptions and the non-profit, non-charging counseling services they provide through Door of Hope.
